The Challenge
The first-floor mezzanine presented a dual climate challenge:
- Cold Winters: The open space lacked adequate heating, leaving it cold and uninviting during the winter months.
- Hot Summers: The elevated position caused heat to build up during warmer months, making the area stuffy and uncomfortable.
The client needed a discreet yet effective solution that would blend seamlessly with the modern décor while providing year-round climate control.
The Solution
After assessing the space, we recommended installing 2 x Fujitsu ceiling cassette systems. These versatile units offer both heating and cooling capabilities and can be tailored to fit the aesthetics of commercial spaces.

Installation Process

- Installed threaded rods from which the ceiling cassette units were suspended.
- Cored through the building fabric to allow for discreet pipework connections.
- Mounted external units on the flat roof, ensuring minimal pipework and efficient operation.
- Testing & Commissioning:
- Vacuumed and pressure-tested the pipework to ensure no leaks.
- Released the refrigerant and conducted a comprehensive function test.
