Air Conditioning Installation & Maintenance In Croydon

Air Conditioning Services in Croydon

We provide trusted air conditioning installation, maintenance and repairs in Croydon, London (CR0, CR2, CR3, CR4, CR5, CR7, CR8) for residential and commercial properties. Our engineers install all major system types and offer long-term support, providing reliable, energy-efficient climate control solutions designed to perform throughout the year.

Whether you are installing a new system for the first time, upgrading existing equipment, or looking to keep a current unit running at its best, we deliver a clear and professional service backed by over 33 years of experience.

Residential Air Conditioning in Croydon

Few London boroughs change character as dramatically over such a short distance as Croydon. Within five miles of each other you have the dense Victorian terraces of Thornton Heath and Norbury in the CR7 postcode and the Surrey-feeling detached homes of Purley and Sanderstead in CR8, where generous gardens, south-facing rooms and extended living spaces are the norm. That contrast means air conditioning is equally relevant at both ends of the borough, for very different reasons.

In the urban north the urban heat island keeps temperatures elevated well into the evening, while in the south it is the size and glazing of the properties themselves that makes summer heat a practical consideration for families across the CR2, CR5 and CR8 postcodes.

We regularly install systems in:

• Bedrooms and master suites
• Living rooms and open-plan spaces
• Home offices and studies
• Loft conversions and extensions
• Garden offices, studios, and annexes
• Conservatories and orangeries

Benefits for homeowners include:

• Quiet, efficient temperature control
• Improved indoor air quality
• Lower energy costs
• Heating and cooling from one system

Our engineers will assess your property in full and recommend the most suitable system based on room sizes, layout, insulation, building type, and your individual comfort requirements.

Air Con was something I have been considering for a few years, 2026 made the decision for me. I thought it would be expensive, complicated and messy! I was wrong. I-HT visited, did a survey, explained the solution and then quoted. I was impressed with the team.
The quote was competitive and the installation clean, professional and drama free. Highly recommended

Great experience all the way from the first phone to the final instillation (even after 5 heat waves and a world wide stock shortage totally getting in the way). Office kept me up to date and didn't get annoyed (I'm assuming) at my questions during the UK wide stock shortage (see heat wave). The guys that come and fitted the equipment all on time very polite and always up for answering a question or 5!.. Everything explained and demonstrated brilliantly. Couldn't be happier with the service provided.

It's always good to go on a recommendation and we did so from friends who had used I-HT. We have no hesitation in passing that recommendation on - really pleased, first class!

Great service from everyone at I-HT. From the initial enquiry, quote and installation, everything was brilliant. The installers and electricians did a great job on the hottest day of the year, which included crawling around in our loft which must have been 40c ! They left everything very tidy. We are now enjoying cool air in the long hot summer.
Thanks again.

After thoroughly explaining how it would look both inside and outside the installation was very neatly done with no damage to the decor. We were shown how to use the remote and helped to download the app and shown how to control the unit remotely. We couldn’t be happier with the service

Really wish I’d had air con installed years ago. Finally went for it after a recommendation from my electrician. Lee came out really quick to do the survey even when in a heatwave. I was offered an installation date quicker than I thought as I was going for a single unit. I was pleasantly surprised with the price too. Michael was a top installer. Can’t believe how tidy he left it. Was cleaner than when he arrived 🙌 genuinely kind and diligent with his work. Was such a good experience he’s coming back in August to fit an upstairs one. Can’t get a better compliment than that. 10/10 I-HT and the office team. Thanks ☺️ very much

I had I-HT install an air conditioning system at home, the guys who came round were great, very punctual and completed the install in around 4 hours and left the place clean and tidy. Installation was extremely neat and professional, and would recommend them over any other.

You may find cheaper quotes, but you do not want to cheap out when it comes to a quality job and on going customer service. On that note, they were not expensive - just a fair price for outstanding work and customer service.

Commercial Air Conditioning in Croydon

Croydon town centre has one of the most distinctive commercial skylines in outer London, with its cluster of 1960s office towers making it unlike any other borough south of the river. East Croydon station is one of the busiest outside central London, with fast connections to Victoria and London Bridge that have kept the town centre relevant as an office location for businesses wanting central London connectivity at more realistic costs. The Tramlink network, unique to Croydon within London, connects the town centre to Wimbledon, Beckenham and the wider borough, adding a commercial reach most outer London boroughs simply do not have.

We design and install commercial air conditioning solutions tailored to the individual needs of Croydon businesses, whether you operate a town centre office, a retail or hospitality premises or a larger commercial facility across the CR0, CR2, CR3, CR4, CR5, CR7 or CR8 area.

Commercial customers benefit from:

• Stable indoor temperatures throughout the working day
• Improved air quality for staff and visitors
• Enhanced comfort and productivity
• Efficient performance across multi-room or open-plan environments

We plan every installation around your building layout, operating hours, and occupancy levels to minimise disruption to your business.

Types of Air Conditioning Systems We Install

We supply and install all major air conditioning system types across Croydon and the surrounding south London and Surrey border area, including:

Split & Multi-Split Systems

A flexible option for single rooms or multiple areas. Split systems are well suited to individual rooms, while multi-split configurations allow several indoor units to run from a single outdoor unit. Multi-split systems are a particularly practical choice for the larger detached and semi-detached homes in the southern parts of the borough where whole-home comfort across multiple rooms is the priority.

Wall-Mounted Units

The most common and cost-effective choice for residential and smaller commercial spaces. Wall-mounted units are efficient, easy to install, and deliver strong airflow without taking up floor or ceiling space.

Ceiling Cassette Units

Fitted discreetly within a suspended ceiling, these units distribute air evenly in four directions. They are well suited to offices, retail spaces, and larger commercial rooms where balanced airflow and a clean, professional finish are important.

Floor-Mounted Units

A practical solution for rooms with limited wall availability. These units sit low to the ground and provide quick, direct heating and cooling, making them ideal for conservatories, orangeries, and older period properties found throughout the borough.

Ceiling-Mounted Units

Designed for long or narrow spaces where wall and floor mounting is not suitable. These slim units fix directly to the ceiling and deliver strong airflow without compromising the room.

We install trusted brands including Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu, and Worcester Bosch.

We diagnose faults clearly, explain the available repair options, and complete work using manufacturer-approved parts wherever possible.

F-Gas Certification & Compliance

Under UK F-Gas legislation, any engineer handling refrigerant gases must hold a valid F-Gas certification. All of our engineers are fully certified and compliant, meaning every installation, service visit and repair we carry out in Croydon meets the required legal and safety standards, whether that is a Victorian terrace in Thornton Heath or a large detached home in Purley.

What F-Gas certification means for you:

• Your installation is carried out legally and to a regulated standard
• Refrigerant gases are handled, recovered and disposed of correctly
• Your system warranty remains valid
• You have full peace of mind that the work meets current UK regulations

We are happy to provide documentation of our F-Gas certification on request. You can also verify engineer certification through the Refcom register or the relevant accreditation body.
